2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. When you access the site, STRATO automatically records information in what are known as server log files, which your browser transmits: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other sources and serves solely the secure, stable and error-free operation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the technically flawless presentation and the security of the website. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with STRATO.
3. Cookies
This website uses only technically necessary cookies. We store only your chosen language and – if you have confirmed the notice – the information that the cookie notice should not be shown again. No analytics, marketing or tracking cookies are used and no data is passed on to third parties. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
4. Contact form and enquiries
If you send us an enquiry via the contact form, by email, telephone or WhatsApp, we process the data you provide (name, email address, telephone number if given, travel dates and message text) in order to answer your enquiry and prepare your stay. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR insofar as you have given consent. Your details remain with us until you ask us to delete them or the purpose ceases to apply; mandatory statutory retention periods remain unaffected.
5. Contact via WhatsApp
Our website contains a link to WhatsApp. If you click it, WhatsApp opens on your device; no connection to WhatsApp is established as long as you do not click the link. If you use WhatsApp to contact us, the privacy terms of WhatsApp Ireland Limited apply in addition. We have no influence over which data WhatsApp processes in the process. If you wish to avoid this, please use the telephone, email or the contact form.
6. Links to booking portals
We link to our listings on Booking.com and Airbnb. Data is only transmitted to the respective provider once you click one of these links. The operators are responsible for data processing on those portals; please refer to their privacy notices.
7. Map services
We do not embed Google Maps directly into this website. Where we refer to map material, we do so via simple links. A connection to Google is only established, and your IP address only transmitted to Google, once you click such a link.
8. Your rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about your stored personal data (Art. 15 GDPR), its origin and recipients, and the purpose of processing. You also have a right to rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may withdraw consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. An informal message to us is sufficient.
9. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of Baden-Württemberg, Lautenschlagerstraße 20, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany.
10. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the browser address bar changing from “http://” to “https://”.
